Stupid

No zoom, no overlay with street map

Cool!

Finally something extremely handy!

Will look for a better one

Needs a way to relate the Subaway stop with street location and or intersection. Most important: it has ONLY 2 levels of Zoom. regular and Zoom.It does not allow you to pinch out, so if you do not se well the info in the max Zoom level. you cannot use it.

Looks nice, but needs a bit of work

This application has an attractive graphical feature in the way it uses parallax scrolling and a neat illustration of water to demarcate the rivers around Manhattan, but otherwise needs improvement. For example, there needs to be more information about where a subway stop is located; it would also be very beneficial to tourists to know which neighbourhood a stop is located at, and for there to be more information about where to get off to find the usual tourist stops in NYC. There is also a lack of a legend popup, which I find would be very handy to have so you dont lose your place when looking for what a symbol means, for example. Pinch-in and pinch-out zooming would also be a welcome addition. Good start, though. I have to emphasize that I really like the way the water looks.

handy for roamers

This is handy in that you can use it where there may not be a signal or if you have data roaming turned off because of cost. Its a very simple no frills little app but nice to have it on the phone instead of a beat up paper map. How about one for buses?

Clear, readable map!

This app provides a clear and readable map of the NY subway system. I love its simplicity. I wish the map would zoom in and out though. One negative - the forefront (land) moves separate from the background (water) and gives me motion sickness. Map will still be useful.

Simple Map

As developer says, this is a simple map of the NYC subway system. It does what it sets out to do. No need for data and it is free. If you are good at reading maps, this app is for you. I used it constantly on my trip to NYC in conjunction with Google Maps. Google Maps (uses cellular data) is good at suggesting a route and this app is good at giving an overview of all the lines and different options and transfers. Sure, the app could be updated to allow zooming and a pop up legend.

Picture

Only a picture . No any feature :(

Map is long out of date

Map is woefully out of date and only marginally useful, needs to be revised and kept current if app is to be of help.

Outdated

This app is completely outdated, the map is not useful whatsoever.

Map is too old

This map needs and update ASAP, until then uninstalling it. Shame

Perfect for underground travels!

I really love this app! Been using it for years to help me get around. It doesnt require internet connection, so its perfect for subway use. I wish they would update it though because some of the train lines changed or extended.

No pinch zoom

Really lame.

"W" Train LOL

As soon as you see the "W" train, you know its outdated as hell. UPDATE!!

Old info

This used to be a great app. Its no longer reliable. I wish they would just update it. Many of the train lines and stops dont even exist anymore. In fact the token image is perfect. This map seems to be made before metro cards existed.

Bad

Cant selectively zoom, only two zoom levels.

...

You switch the woodhaven blvd with 63 dr....

Useless

Terrible. Its just a map - and I cant even zoom in to see details about streets or stations. Dont waste your time.

Update useless

App crashes when I tried to started it

Ugh!

Force quit upon startup :( Im WIFI only and its a great way to plan before arriving to NYC. Not recommend for tourists ;) Lost? Ask a New Yorker!
